I wanted to dive deeper into her creative world, so I asked her a few questions about her process, influences, and what keeps her inspired.
How would you describe your music to someone who’s never heard it before?
I would describe my music as experimental because I love pushing boundaries and playing around with various genres and styles of Electronic Music. This also reflects my personal listening behavior: I love so many genres and it’s really hard for me to choose just one. That’s probably why every project I start often includes elements of at least two or three genres and turns out into something new and unique.
What track or project are you most proud of and why?
Basically, I’m proud of every project, just as a mother who is proud of her children. Really, they are all my babies, but right now, I’m most proud of my track “Essentials.” Back in 2023, I produced it just for fun, without any high expectations, and it even was my fastest project so far. In my experience, projects like this are the most successful. And it’s true: I received a lot of positive feedback on “Essentials.” It’s my most-streamed track on several music streaming platforms and it even opened new doors for me.
Which artists or genres have had the biggest influence on your sound?
As I mentioned before, I love so many genres and in each genre I have my favorite artists. I’m sure some of them have influenced my sound in some way, but to be honest, it’s not easy for me to answer this question, also because my music is very experimental. So, I’ll leave it up to you.
Was there a defining moment that made you say, “I want to make music”?
Actually, I knew since childhood that I wanted to make music, so I always carried this dream in my heart. But there was a moment in 2021 when I decided to finally turn this dream into reality. It was a time full of struggles and I felt the need to break free and follow my calling.
If your sound were a place, color, or emotion, what would it be?
What a wonderful question! When I close my eyes and think about it, I see a hidden, mystical place full of secrets and treasures, like a magical forest in another dimension, somewhere in the universe. There are no limits and you have the power to shape this place with your thoughts according to your heart’s desires. It feels like an illusion, like a trip.
Do you have a ritual or habit that helps you get into a creative zone?
I recently developed a kind of ritual to get myself into the right mood and unleash my creativity. First of all, I make sure to calm down, breathe, and start listening to music. Then I close my eyes and just go with the flow. Sometimes inspiration comes and sometimes not, you can’t force it. But for me, it’s like diving into my own world, like a kind of meditation, like medicine for my soul, and this already helps me a lot to stay balanced.
What’s something surprising people don’t usually know about you as an artist?
Some people already know this, others don’t, but I’m actually very introverted in public and there are days when I just feel like hiding and not showing up. At the same time, there is a fire inside me and I often daydream of letting all this energy out without caring about other people’s opinions.
Do you have any surprising musical tastes outside your main genre?
Yes, I have, and it’s as varied as my main genres. For example, I grew up with all kinds of Latin music and still listen to it sometimes.
How do you handle creative blocks?
When I feel blocked in my music production, I just take a break and do something else. In my case, I have the advantage of being not only a producer but also a DJ, which gives me variety.
Describe your music in three words that aren’t music-related.
Experimental, surprising, and recognizable.
