The last time I spoke with Ellie Rizoa, we explored her track Unbind. Around the same period, she also released another track titled What Will Be Will Be, which immediately caught my attention as well. Ellie’s tracks never feel static to me. They shift like moods, like thoughts moving through different shades of light and shadow.
To my ears, What Will Be Will Be carries a kind of emotional acceptance and the feeling of learning to coexist with uncertainty, heaviness, and reality without letting it completely consume you. The timing of discovering this track also felt impeccable, because it arrived during a period in my personal life where I was going through a similar path myself.
I immediately connected with it while listening, and it made me want to dig deeper into Ellie’s creative process behind this track.

Did the track start with a clear idea, or did it evolve along the way?
It evolved for sure. My tracks never start with a clear idea unless I’m creating for someone else. I let the music guide me and just marvel at the result later.
What role did emotion play in shaping this track?
Acceptance for sure. This track represents reality for what it is, whether we’d like to change things or not. That’s why there’s kinda like an up-and-down vibe.
What was the most challenging part of bringing this track to life?
Hm… trying to make sure it didn’t sound completely doom and gloom. Because although reality is intense and dark right now, there are still things people can and should smile about.
If you had to describe the journey of this track in one sentence, what would it be?
Relieving, but like, not in the completely painless way if that makes sense 😅
What part of the track are you most proud of, even if listeners might not immediately notice it?
The soundscapes you hear come straight from my backyard 😊
If someone discovers your music for the first time through this track, what do you hope it tells them about your artistic world?
I hope it tells them that I value truth, and covering all sides of reality, good and bad, means more to me than putting on a mask and creating music that’s solely just pleasing to the ear.
Is there a story behind the title?
Yeah, more of a reminder for me than a title for ya’ll haha. We are accountable for our circle and our responsibilities that warrant actual worry and care. Everything else though, we have little control over. We can’t hold the world. What Will Be Will Be.
What resonates with me most about this track is that it doesn’t try to escape reality or soften it into something artificially comforting. Instead, it acknowledges heaviness while still leaving room for light to exist beside it.
I also really love knowing that parts of the soundscape came directly from Ellie’s own backyard. There’s something beautiful about that. It makes the track feel even more rooted in real life, like fragments of everyday existence transformed into emotion and atmosphere.
